Extension of 4.0 tax credit
In the context of the transformations that are shaping the industrial landscape, Industry 4.0 incentives continue to play a key role in supporting the digitization and innovation of Italian companies. For many businesses, the incentives have been key to meeting the challenges imposed by the pandemic and projecting themselves into an increasingly technological and automated future.
With the passage of the Budget Law, the Ministry of Economy and Finance intended to continue the economic policy of supporting Italian companies and nonresident companies operating permanently in our country. Thanks to government support measures, companies have been able to invest in advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, automation, robotics and cloud computing, thus improving their competitiveness and ability to innovate.
Industry 4.0 incentives: an opportunity still relevant today
The extension of the 4.0 tax credit for green transition or digital innovation activities becomes active until 2025, a period when companies will be able to benefit from a tax break on investments in 4.0 capital goods, which include technologies such as smart machinery, software and digital platforms. These incentives are supporting companies not only in improving production efficiency, but also in strengthening their ability to innovate and adapt to market changes.
Our Fixed Cooling Plants, thanks to their innovative and interconnected digital content, meet the requirements set by the new Transition 4.0 Plan, meeting the latest safety, health and occupational hygiene parameters.
The new challenge: the arrival of incentives for Industry 5.0
The Transition 5.0 tax credit is the facility established by Decree Law No. 19/2024 aimed at supporting companies on the path to digital and energy transition. The bonus is recognized for new investments made from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2025, destined for production facilities located in Italy, which are part of innovation projects from which a reduction in energy consumption results.
Budget Law 2025 made significant changes to the tax credit rules, which are already applicable to investments made from January 1, 2024. Specific fulfillments are required to access the tax credit, including for the purpose of certifying the achievement of targets on the energy-saving front.
In this context, the approach proposed by Art-Eco sees an industry that not only seeks efficiency and technological innovation, but also places the dignity of workers, the environment and quality of life at the center. Technology is no longer just a tool for automation and optimization, but becomes an ally in improving living and working conditions, creating a balance between productivity and people’s health.
Towards Industry 5.0: technology, sustainability and human-centeredness to meet the challenge of twin transitions
Industry 5.0 places the human being at the center of the production process, enhancing skills and improving the quality of working life. In facts, to overcome the new challenges of the twin transitions “digital and green,” technological innovation is as crucial as the driver of sustainability and human-centeredness.
This new paradigm aims to create a more ergonomic and individual-centered work environment, where machines assist humans rather than replace them, thus enabling people to perform more creative and less repetitive tasks. Industry 5.0 aims to address social and environmental needs by promoting the circular economy, corporate social responsibility and sustainable production for a more resilient future geared toward human and planetary well-being.
