Operational leasing is an alternative formula to purchasing and traditional leasing that allows companies to have the necessary goods and services at their disposal by paying a regular fee for a variable period of time.
In specific, operational leasing gives the customer the possibility, through the payment of a fixed periodic fee, to take advantage of capital goods for their activity or profession, without acquiring their ownership. It’s a service that allows continuous technological update, avoiding the risk of obsolescence of the company assets.
Possibility of final redemption
At the end of the contract period, the customer can choose one of several solutions:
- Terminate the leasing agreement and return the products;
- Extend the contract and continue to use the products;
- Replace the products by undersigning a new contract.
Advantages
- Liquidity and financial benefit;
- Lease payments are fully tax deductible;
- Preservation of capital and credit margins towards banks and suppliers;
- Since this is a commercial contract, rather than financial, the lease does not affect credit lines and does not have an impact on risk;
- Since the leased products are not owned by the customer, they are not listed in the balance sheet, and therefore are not subject to depreciation rules.
